DESCRIPTION:The first Starters SIG Meeting/borrel will take place on 10 Sep
tember 19.00-20.30 on Zoom. Please register by clicking the button at the
top of this page by 10.00 the morning of 10 September. The Starters SIG is
a group for those of us who are new to SENSE and/or to the language indust
ry as a whole\, or who have recently started down a new path and are findi
ng themselves in unfamiliar territory. This SIG seeks to provide a safe sp
ace where members can share their experiences\, ask for advice and tips an
d network. This first event will be pretty casual: bring a drink\, expect a
t least one not-too-lame icebreaker\, discuss entering the language indust
ry and/or freelance workforce\, and share your opinions on what you'd like
to see from the SIG in the future. We'd love to have you.\nMartina Abagnal
