DESCRIPTION:Park Plaza’s renovation is taking longer than planned and their
meeting rooms may not be available until later this year\, so our opening
UniSIG event of the academic year will be a more informal freestyle meeti
ng at which the topics discussed will be chosen by attendees. The areas co
vered might include aspects of editing or translation\, dealing with clien
ts and charging for assignments – as long as they relate to our work for c
lients in academia. This would also be an opportunity to share any work-re
lated tips or seek advice from colleagues. As it’s unlikely that Park Plaz
a will be able to provide a projector\, any illustrative material brought
along should be on paper. We will have a flipover at our disposal.\nThe ea
rlier start means that as well as the option of adjourning to the bar for
drinks\, socializing and networking after the meeting\, there will also be
the option of staying on for a meal. Decide on the day but remember that
drinks and the meal will both be at your expense.\nAs ever\, all SENSE mem
 bers are welcome.\nUniSIG Freestyle meetingFriday\, 9 November 2018Time: 1
