DESCRIPTION:This time\, our meeting will take place at the end of a Friday 
 afternoon. The speaker will be Julie Uusinarkaus\, who has been an academi
 c editor and revisor at the University of Helsinki Language Centre for fif
 teen years and is also a freelance editor specialized in design. An active
  board member of Nordic Editors and Translators\, she now focuses on event
  planning.\nShe writes: 'My work involves revising the translations done b
 y our team at the University of Helsinki\, and I will describe what that e
 ntails. Translation revision requires a different focus than normal editin
 g in that you look at the best way to interpret the original text instead 
 of the best way to word the final text. In my job\, the translation reviso
 r also monitors the institutional style. We will revise a translation toge
 ther to see the difference firsthand.'\nAfter her short talk there will be
  time for Q&A and general discussion. As always\, all SENSE members are we
 lcome to attend this meeting\, which will last about one hour. You can use

DESCRIPTION:We will return to our former schedule of bi-monthly meetings on
  the second Wednesday of the odd months\, so mark your calendars!\nAt the 
 previous meeting\, Maartje Gorte announced she would be standing down as c
 onvener as she’ll soon be taking maternity leave. We wish her all the best
 !\nIn the meantime\, I’ve offered to keep this SIG up and running. I have 
 fond memories of Utrecht Translation SIG meetings and how much I always le
 arn from the discussions. If you have a translation you’d like to discuss 
 or another translation related topic\, please let me know.\nWe’ve missed o
 ur January slot\, but we will resume regular meetings from March onwards.
 \nMeeting dates for 2021 are:\n\n10 March\n12 May\n14 July\n8 September\n1
 0 November\n\nStarting time 19:30.\nFor the time being\, we’ll meet online
  via Zoom. If circumstances allow\, we can arrange to meet somewhere in Ut
