 General Meeting (SGM) on 19 September about whether SENSE should endorse t
 he updated version of the Dutch Covenant has been cancelled.\n{show access
 levels='Registered'}Members of the VViN (Netherlands Association of Interp
 reting and Translation Agencies) have indicated that they would like addit
 ional changes to be made to the updated Covenant.\nThis unexpected turn of
  events means that the version of the Covenant that is currently available
  to SENSE members is not going to be the final version. The NGTV (Netherla
 nds Association of Interpreters and Translators) and SENSE have therefore 
 decided to postpone their vote on whether to endorse the updated Covenant.
 \nRepresentatives of the VViN\, NGTV and SENSE will convene in due course 
 to discuss additional changes to the updated version of the Dutch Covenant
 . \nWhen that version has been finalized\, the updated Dutch text and Engl
 ish translation will be shared with SENSE members\, who will then be asked
  whether they want SENSE to endorse the final version of the updated Dutch
  Covenant.\nRationale\nThe Convenant Vertaalsector Nederland (informally\,
  the Dutch Covenant) outlines the generally accepted rules of conduct that
  freelance translators and translation agencies in the Netherlands conside
 r good practice in their dealings with each other. It gives freelance tran
 slators in the Netherlands a better idea of what translation agencies in t
 he Netherlands may expect of them\, and vice versa. This knowledge can be 
 particularly useful for newcomers to the industry.\nThe Covenant is review
 ed every three years to keep it current and up-to-date with the latest dev
 elopments in the translation industry.\nOver the past couple of months\, r
 epresentatives from SENSE\, the Netherlands Association of Interpreters an
 d Translators (NGTV) and the Netherlands Association of Interpreting and T
 ranslation Agencies (VViN) re-examined the Dutch Covenant in response to c
 omments from their individual members\, and to ensure compliance with Dutc
 h legislation.\nSENSE endorsed the previous version of the Covenant\, and 
 the EC recommends that members vote to endorse the updated version of the
