Utrecht Translation SIG

We will return to our former schedule of bi-monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the odd months, so mark your calendars!

At the previous meeting, Maartje Gorte announced she would be standing down as convener as she’ll soon be taking maternity leave. We wish her all the best!

In the meantime, I’ve offered to keep this SIG up and running. I have fond memories of Utrecht Translation SIG meetings and how much I always learn from the discussions. If you have a translation you’d like to discuss or another translation related topic, please let me know.

We’ve missed our January slot, but we will resume regular meetings from March onwards.

Meeting dates for 2021 are:

• 10 March
• 12 May
• 14 July
• 8 September
• 10 November

Starting time 19:30.

For the time being, we’ll meet online via Zoom. If circumstances allow, we can arrange to meet somewhere in Utrecht.

Topic for our March meeting: I suggest continuing the discussion started during the Brian Mossop workshop on revising translations. Before the meeting there are a couple of blogs you may find interesting to read:
