Experience I received my PhD in cancer biology at the University of Torino (Italy) and moved to San Francisco for my postdoctoral research at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). During these years I published several papers and helped with the editing of grants. The academic environment has trained me as an organized scientist with an excellent understanding of online scientific communication and ability to comply with short deadlines. The experience at the UCSF helped me improve my verbal and writing abilities, in addition to broaden my scientific knowledge and critical thinking. In 2013 I made the definitive jump into the scientific editing, and now I am a freelance scientific editor. For more info, visit www.deditingstudio.com.

Experience Before becoming a translator I spent many years working as a librarian in Sydney, London and Rotterdam.
I've been working as a freelancer since 2014. Clients include Radboud In'to Languages, HAN-Talencentrum, UvA Talen and Saxion Translation Services. I've been translating and editing for a long-term project for Radboud University's Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence programmes since November 2015.
The main body of my translation work includes course manuals, PowerPoint presentations, examination questions, lecture summaries, work group manuals, questionnaires, handbooks and general promotional materials.
My preferred CAT tool is SDL Trados; I also have experience with MemoQ and Memsource.
