Ana Carolina RibeiroDoing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. In the AI era, it feels we need to drastically modify the way we market our services in order to survive. But, as freelancers, the idea of changing everything about our business is terrifying and must be carefully considered, particularly if we are in a stable position in our career. Prompted by a change in marital status, surname and continent, I went through a lengthy rebranding process, and came up with a 7-step process that can help other freelancers to decide whether this is a viable option for their own businesses. I aim to demystify the concept, discuss the ups and downs of the rebranding I carried out in 2022/23 and the results observed, providing a checklist for a smooth process.
