If you are a sworn translator or interpreter (beëdigde vertaler/tolk), you have to show that you have accumulated at least 80 PE (permanente educatie) points when renewing your registration. Each PE point equates to 1 hour of continued professional development.
You have to renew your listing in the official register of sworn translators and interpreters every 5 years. You can find details of the requirements to be met on https://www.bureauwbtv.nl.
It is up to you to register details of the professional development you have undertaken.
Bureau Wbtv will review the PE points you register to see whether they meet the applicable standards. Please note that SENSE has not requested registration as an erkende opleidingsinstelling. However, all our training and other events to date have been accepted as meeting the applicable standards.
To register points, go to https://www.bureauwbtv.nl/ and ‘PE-punten registreren’ (under ‘Direct regelen’). Then upload the following:
- A registration form detailing the activity and the competences you have developed etc;
- Evidence that you attended the relevant event.
