Annual Utrecht SIG social & book swap

On Wednesday 1 July 2026 at 18:00 the Utrecht SIG will meet outdoors at the Fort bij Rijnauwen in Bunnik for a walk, talk and car boot book swap. This is becoming an annual tradition! The AGM book swap had a limited offering as most people came by train. I'm sure many of us still have way too many books we're not likely to read again. Now is the time to sift through your shelves and load your books in your bike pannier or the boot of your car. Please remember to take back any books you bring that haven’t found a new reader.
Some of you may remember the Theehuis Rhijnauwen, which serves delicious pancakes and can also do gluten- and/or dairy-free pancakes, with lots of fillings, and they also have sandwiches/salads, lots of veg/vegan options, so there’s something for everyone. Note: pay for your own food and drink.
Depending on the weather we can take our chances with eating outside. They don’t take reservations for the terrace. If necessary, reservations for eating indoors can be made nearer the time.
Programme:
18:00 – 18:30: hang around the car park for swapping books
18:30 – 20:30: take a walk or head straight for the pancakes
20:30 – 21:00: more walking, talking, and informal book swapping
