20261003 Den Haag walk

Join us for a walk in the beautiful Haagse Bos, an oasis of green in a busy city. It’s one of the oldest protected nature reserves in the country, and yet only a 10-minute walk from The Hague Central Station.

We will meet at 14:00 at the Paviljoen Malieveld, a café/restaurant on the Malieveld field, which is part of the Haagse Bos. From there, SENSE member Joanna Bouma will take us on a walk to and through the woods. Being so close to the seat of government and the backdrop of historical events over the centuries, we will stop once in a while to look at historical landmarks. For nature lovers – depending on the weather-related migration – there are dozens of bird species to spot. There are also regular sightings of deer, foxes, squirrels, pine martens, bats etc.

Meet new colleagues and reconnect with ‘old’ ones during this green, peaceful walk. After the walk, between 15:30 and 16:00, we will head back to the Paviljoen Malieveld for a drink or bite (at your own expense) and further socializing. Those who wish to leave can head to the station.

We recommend wearing waterproof jackets and boots.
