Have you ever wished that you could talk to your academic authors a bit earlier in the writing process? As translators and editors, we usually only see their writing when it is nearly ready. Our own academic writing may have been some time ago. You might do social writing or co-working with colleagues (e.g. Mediterranean Editors and Translators Humanities and Social Sciences Hub). But few of us do so with clients.

Come and find out about how and why to do writing retreats with academic authors.

Dr Kate Sotejeff-Wilson, our speaker, translates from Finnish, German, and Polish into English at KSW Translations. She also edits in English for academic and multilingual writers. She facilitates writing retreats online and in person at Ridge Writing Retreats. She was born in Wales and did her history PhD research in London, Berlin, Poznań, and Warsaw. Now she is also a Finn and has lived in Finland since 2012. She is chair of Nordic Editors and Translators.
