SENSE organizes an annual programme of events. The professional development events call upon the knowledge and experience of the Society’s seasoned members, including such luminaries in the field as Mike Hannay and Joy Burrough-Boenisch, as well as the expertise of guest speakers such as English lexicographer Susie Dent and Emma Wagner of the European Commission’s Translation Service. Rounding off these events is a lighter programme of social functions for everyone in the Society's widely dispersed community. All events and functions are open to members on a first-come basis. Non-members may apply to attend to select events two weeks after registration has opened to members.
