Starters SIG meet-up: Starters (Re)Unite!

The Starters SIG is back – and will hold its first ever in-person event!

This SIG was established for those who are new to SENSE and/or to the language industry as a whole, or who have recently started down a new path and are finding themselves in unfamiliar territory.

Run by starters, for starters, this SIG seeks to provide a safe space where members can network, share their experiences and ask for tips and advice from those who may be in the same boat (or have just managed to clamber ashore – who knows, they might just be able to lend you a hand!).

The meetup will take place at Restaurant Se7en (Mariaplaats 7, 3511 LH Utrecht, a cushy ­5‑min walk from Utrecht Central Station) on 2 December at 15:00.

We’ll discuss entering the language industry and/or freelance workforce, and share opinions on what you'd like to see from the SIG in the future. Expect at least one languagey icebreaker. Coffee and tea are on us!

Come along and finally meet those faces you’ve only ever seen in 2D, or join us if you’re a fresh face yourself! This event welcomes members and non-members alike, so feel free to bring a friend you think might benefit from sharing their story and expanding their network.
