8 December 2013: SENSE Annual Dinner

With stand-up comedian Greg Shapiro!

What: SENSE Annual Dinner - with a special performance by stand-up comedian Greg Shapiro

Where: Utrecht, Theatre De Kikker and Brasserie Bresson (both a short walk from the station)

When: Sunday 8 December, 4 p.m.

Costs: €42.50 (including after-theatre drink and all drinks during dinner)

Our early evening will kick off at 4 p.m. sharp in Theater Kikker (located a short 5-minute's walk from the station, just off De Oudegracht) with a humorous look at life by superburger and American Netherlander Greg Shapiro.

After the performance, it's time to quench your thirst with a drink in the theatre foyer.

A five-minute walk along De Oudegracht will then bring us to Brasserie Bresson, where we'll be served a scrumptious, seasonal 3-course dinner in a private room (vegetarian menu available, but please let me know beforehand).

From Northwestern University, Gregory Shapiro came to the Netherlands in 1994 to help establish comedy theatre Boom Chicago. In 2007 Shapiro went solo with 'Comedy Central News as writer / presenter. Shapiro is an accomplished solo performer, touring with his show ‘Superburger: the Man with Split Nationalities.’ His previous show  ‘How to Be Orange: making the Dutch take their own assimilation exam’ was a great success. Currently, Shapiro writes and presents the weekly series ‘Behind the Dutch Headlines’ forexpatica.com.
